
Construction Intern

Project & Administrative Support
Assist with maintaining project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes
Support document control and file organization across project platforms
Help prepare daily reports, progress updates, and project logs
Field Operations
Participate in on-site walkthroughs to monitor construction progress and quality
Observe subcontractor work and support coordination efforts
Ensure adherence to jobsite safety protocols, including PPE and OSHA standards
Project Coordination
Assist with scheduling activities and tracking project milestones
Support material procurement tracking and delivery coordination
Communicate with subcontractors and vendors under supervision
Safety & Compliance
Promote a culture of safety by supporting jobsite safety initiatives
Assist with safety documentation, inspections, and compliance tracking
Ensure work aligns with school district regulations and occupied-site requirements
Learning & Development
Gain exposure to K–12 construction requirements, including phased construction and occupied school environments
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project reviews
Apply academic knowledge to real-world construction challenges
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in:
Construction Management
Civil Engineering
Architecture or related field
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in both office and field environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to Procore or similar tools is a plus
Interest in K–12, public sector, or institutional construction preferred
Preferred Attributes
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude
