Summary

Our client, a world leader in developing and commercializing innovative biopharmaceuticals for rare diseases driven by genetic causes, is seeking a Lab Technician. The Lab Technician – Materials & Equipment Support is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment within a pharmaceutical setting. This role focuses on the cleaning, preparation, and handling of laboratory materials, glassware, and equipment to support ongoing laboratory and manufacturing activities in accordance with GMP and safety standards.
Duties / Expectations of Role

Schedule and perform routine decontamination and calibration coordination for laboratory incubators.
Maintain incubator water levels between service visits and respond to basic maintenance needs.
Coordinate freezer thaws for all −20°C and −80°C units.
Track and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with vendors.
Escort and assist vendors during equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and repair activities.
Serve as point of contact for VWR/Avantor onsite support and stockroom coordination.
Assist with point‑of‑use lab expansion and inventory augmentation projects.
Order, stock, and manage non‑catalog laboratory consumables from approved suppliers
Attend supply‑chain‑related meetings and communicate issues to Lab Operations leadership
Restock clean glassware in laboratories as needed and operate glass‑wash equipment
Operate autoclaves to sterilize lab materials and return items to users.
Prepare, stock, and maintain designated buffer solutions in assigned laboratories.
Build effective working relationships with Facilities and Site Services teams.
Submit and track service requests for facility‑related issues using established systems.
Assist with lab improvement and operational support projects.
Submit equipment requests in the CMMS platform for controlled temperature equipment
Provide general lab support as needed to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations.
Term & Start

6-12+ month contract with strong possibility of extension or hire
Full time - 40hrs/week; Benefits included (health, dental, vision)
