Responsibilities
Austin Oaks Hospital is an 80‑bed psychiatric facility in South Austin, offering both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services. The hospital seeks Registered Nurses for night shifts (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) to provide high‑quality, compassionate care in a home‑like environment.
Position Summary
Respond to incoming admission calls and coordinate referrals.
Assess patients’ psychiatric and medical status; ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
Prepare referral paperwork and unit charts as required.
Actively intervene in crisis situations and provide leadership to mental‑health technicians.
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to treatment plans.
Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physicians.
