Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Position Overview
The Relief Charge Nurse supports the daily operations of the 31‑bed Medical Oncology unit while maintaining a patient assignment as needed. This position works closely with nursing leadership to ensure high‑quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

What You Will Do In This Role

Provide direct patient care in a medical oncology setting

Serve as charge nurse as assigned, overseeing unit workflow and staffing coordination

Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team environment

Act as a clinical resource and escalation point for patient care concerns

Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

RN experience prefer at least one year in hospital acute care; experience in sub‑acute, LTC, Rehab will be considered

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification

Registered Nurse licensure in Colorado or Multi‑State

Associate Degree

Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred: Prior charge nurse or leadership experience
