Ultrasound Technologist
Position is based at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical services according to ultrasound practice standards and serve as a resource to students, residents, fellows, and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.

Administer sound patient care practices in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.

Complete ancillary tasks necessary for efficient and consistent departmental operations.

Demonstrate safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.

Fluent in speaking and writing English.

Diploma from a certified school of radiology required.

Two (2) years of experience as a registered sonographer; acute care experience preferred.

Current RDMS license required.

Breast and vascular registry preferred.

Current basic life support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
