Position Overview
Provides accurate, timely, and cost‑effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to Providence Alaska Medical Center and other institutions. Meets and exceeds functional criteria for Medical Laboratory Technician II.
Job Details
Full‑time, 1.0 FTE, 8‑hour night shifts, 40 hours per week.
Relocation Assistance
Available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or Education & training equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science with sufficient clinical laboratory experience on human specimens to meet Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification requirements through a nationally accrediting agency, e.g. American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Association of Bioanalysts
