Job Description
Job Title: Food Research Technician/ Research & Development
Onsite at Warrendale, PA 15086
Duration: 12-month contract (possible extension)
Must Haves:
Must be highly organized
Demonstrates strong attention to detail
Ability to manage quantities of data w/o jeopardizing the quality/integrity of results
Qualifications:
Good communication, attention to detail, critical thinking and investigation skills.
Self-starter with a passion to learn a must.
Handle multiple assignments / tasks concurrently and seek guidance as needed.
Familiarity w/ MS365 Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS TEAMS)
Associate or B.S. degree in STEM such as Chemistry, Microbiology or related field. [Prefer: Food, Dairy, Meat Science or Food or Chemical Engineering]
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and ability to repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds.
Key Components
• Conducting analytical measurements of product and / or packaging in a laboratory environment using variety of equipment.
• Accurately record, transpose, and manipulate data.
• Support development and commercialization of new / improved products, existing products through active management of laboratory ingredient inventory, sanitation, and sample shipping / receiving.
• Support Food Scientists w/experiments in lab and / or pilot plant by pre-weighing ingredients, assisting with processing and packing of formulas, labeling, and case-packing. xywuqvp
• Facilitate activities such as sample preparation and demonstrations, evaluation of product shelf-life and technical support for initial factory production.
