Warehouse Lead
Department: Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Branch Manager
Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead Associate supports daily warehouse operations by overseeing material handling, inventory control, order fulfillment, and workflow coordination. This role helps ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency while serving as a working lead for warehouse staff. The Warehouse Lead Associate sets the tone for quality customer service and operational excellence across the branch.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination
Lead and guide warehouse associates during daily tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, staging, and shipping orders.
Serve as the point of contact for the team when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable.
Help train new hires on warehouse procedures, safety practices, equipment operation, and RK Supply standards.
Assist management in delegating tasks to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
Warehouse Operations
Ensure all materials are received, checked, and stocked accurately following RK Supply procedures.
Pick and pull customer orders with accuracy, ensuring correct parts, quantities, and packaging.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety requirements.
Inventory Control
Perform cycle counts and help reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or critical inventory.
Assist with inventory audits and annual physical inventory processes.
Customer Service
Support walk-in customers by locating and pulling items quickly and accurately.
Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments to ensure order accuracy and timely service.
Collaborate with the sales counter and drivers to guarantee seamless order fulfillment.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all warehouse safety policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
Promote a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in an industrial or oilfield supply environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and order fulfillment.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred
Prior lead or supervisory experience.
Familiarity with oilfield tools, fittings, and supplies.
Experience with inventory management systems or basic computer proficiency.
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent interaction with customers, drivers, and operations staff.
Requires safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
May include occasional overtime depending on business needs.
