What You'll Be Doing:
Assists the Budget Analyst in audits and preparing required financial statements for the activity. Performs a variety of general office functions such as duplicating, messenger work, filing and posting.
Prepare bi-weekly government vouchers documenting all company expenditures, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with corporate core values, policies, and procedures in all assigned responsibilities
Utilize Accounts Payable and purchasing systems to support financial operations
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Public Vouchers, including payroll, purchasing, and travel documentation
Support submission of Public Vouchers in the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) payment system
Apply knowledge of job cost accounting principles to track and manage expenditures
Process and manage Purchase Orders, invoices, receiving documents, and Accounts Payable vouchers
Prepare and maintain employee timecards
Perform timekeeping entries and support payroll preparation, including:
Validating employee pay status
Verifying Personal Time Off (PTO) documentation
Confirming approved overtime requests and associated records
Ensure timecards are properly signed by employees and approved by Department Managers
Input timesheet hours into the Work Management System (WMS).
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Requirements:
An Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration or at least three (3) years of experience as an accounting technician. Must have general computer skills and Microsoft Office program skills and be proficient in excel and operating a personal computer.
General Information:
In order to fulfill the fundamental responsibilities of this role, the chosen candidate needs to aid in the management of activity funds. Being capable of multitasking is a requirement. Ensuring precise maintenance of voucher files is crucial. Additionally, contributing to the creation of a bi-weekly government voucher that comprehensively and accurately records all company expenses is part of the role's duties.
Must have a level of attention to detailed work.
