Job Title: Materials Supervisor
Location: Reading, PA area
Salary: 90k-110k
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the materials management process, including procurement, inventory control, and demand planning.
-Lead, train, and supervise manufacturing team.
-Help our Lead Operators plan their work and use resources efficiently.
-- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and develop production schedules.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking materials, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
- Train and supervise materials staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve materials management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of materials management principles, including procurement, inventory control, and supply chain management.
-Must be a US citizen or Green Card Holder
-Must have High school diploma or GED
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Proficient in demand planning techniques to forecast material requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Proficient in using materials management systems to track inventory levels and monitor performance.
