Description
Groundskeeper
The Groundskeeper maintains the golf course, resort grounds, and surrounding landscape areas to the highest standards. This role ensures the preservation of the property's aesthetics and functionality by performing routine maintenance tasks, landscaping, and minor equipment care.
The duties of a Groundskeeper include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain golf course greens, fairways, bunkers, roughs, trees, and landscaped areas.
Mow, trim, edge, and aerate turf using appropriate equipment.
Plant, prune, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance overall property aesthetics.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, and edgers.
Assist with irrigation system maintenance, including checking and repairing sprinklers as needed.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments in accordance with safety guidelines.
Ensure all pathways, common areas, and golf course features are free of debris and hazards.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
1+ year of experience in golf course or landscape maintenance preferred.
Basic knowledge of groundskeeping equipment operation and maintenance.
Understanding of irrigation systems and basic turf management.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, lifting, kneeling, walking, and reaching.
Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including rain, cold, direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
Use of power tools, lawn maintenance equipment, and occasional chemical applications.
