What we need:

The Food Safety Technicians role is to monitor adherence to GMP's, take allergen swabs as needed, take environmental swabs when scheduled, assist with internal facility inspections, audits, and investigations, preform daily pre op on all processing areas and warehouse (ATP and APC swabbing and visuals), create daily pre op reports, and maintain the ATP swab units, perform glass breakage checks and continually monitor all lines for glass breakage throughout each shift and document findings, screen rejections from X rays. The Food Safety Technician will be crossed trained on responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure a cross functional Quality and Food Safety Team.

Glass Breakage Inspections/Audits
X-ray Rejection Screenings
Inventory Control of ATP Swabs and Environmental Swabs.
Holds Tag Placement
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support the Department.
What you need:

Minimum 6 months experience in a Manufacturing Quality Environment, food preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and written
Working knowledge of GMPs, sanitation/hygiene expectations, and manufacturing recordkeeping/document control.
Ability to follow written procedures, interpret product/package specifications, and document results accurately using good documentation practices.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and escalate nonconformances and potential food safety risks.
Basic math skills (weights/measures) and comfort performing repetitive checks consistently
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; frequent bending/reaching.
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs (adjust to your site standard).
Work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE with noise exposure, moving equipment, wet floors, and temperature variation.
High school diploma or GED required.
