Overview
Keep life-saving aircraft mission-ready at Air Methods. As a
Maintenance Controller
based in
Denver, Colorado , you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and availability of our rotorcraft fleet.
Acting as a central hub for maintenance operations, you'll oversee aircraft status, manage MEL deferrals, and partner with field teams to keep our fleet operating at peak performance in support of critical care missions.
This high-impact role is ideal for experienced aviation professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in precision and safety.
An FAA A&P license and 5+ years of rotorcraft maintenance experience are required , along with the ability to make informed, real-time decisions. Candidates must be
located in or willing to relocate to Denver, Colorado .
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
• Control fleet status through the use of maintenance releases and the fleet status monitoring system (411)
• Review maintenance documentation for Scheduled Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Unscheduled Maintenance prior to maintenance release; maintenance documents associated with major repairs and alterations
• Monitor all open MEL deferrals and ensure they are cleared or extended in accordance with manual procedures
• Responsible for reporting irregularities or making suggestions to avoid potential maintenance delays or increased operating costs
• Communicate maintenance procedures or policy changes to field personnel; notify the field of Emergency Airworthiness Directives (EAD) as necessary
• Advise the 135 Fleet Maintenance Manager of any maintenance problem that have airworthiness implications and/or involve significant aircraft OOS time or operating costs
• Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

• Regular scheduled attendance
• Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling
Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods' employment practices and policies.

Education & Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A&P / A&P IA preferred
• Five years turbine powered rotorcraft maintenance and/or avionics experience preferred.
Skills
• Experience reading and understanding aircraft maintenance manuals
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to function in a high stress work environment
Computer Skills
• Intermediate with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• A & P certificate required
Minimum pay
USD $38.50/Hr.
Maximum Pay
USD $46.50/Hr.
