Job Description
This position is for a Patient Service Representative working day shifts in an outpatient clinic environment with four 10-hour shifts per week. The schedule includes weekday shifts from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM and weekend shifts from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with staff working every other weekend. The representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone, supporting daily clinic operations and patient access to care. The role focuses on ensuring a smooth patient experience through efficient scheduling, registration, and communication. Requirements:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least one year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting. Applicants must demonstrate familiarity with medical insurance processes, referral procedures, and patient benefit plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and respond to detailed written and verbal instructions are required. Previous experience working as a Patient Service Representative is preferred, along with knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with electronic health record systems such as CS-Link or EPIC is also preferred. Candidates must maintain professionalism while interacting with patients, providers, and healthcare staff and be capable of managing multiple administrative tasks in a healthcare environment.
