Position Overview
The
Inventory & Slotting Analyst
develops and executes item placement strategies within the fulfillment centers to maximize picking efficiency, storage utilization, and inventory accuracy, while also serving as the primary resource for inventory control, SOX compliance, and financial reporting. This role blends inventory management, data analytics, warehouse optimization, item master management, and cross-functional communication, and serves as the central point of coordination for SKU lifecycle impacts across the supply chain.

What You'll Do:
Improves order cycle time, pick accuracy, and on-time delivery by optimizing slotting, inventory availability, and pick paths.
Maintains SOX-compliant controls to protect financial integrity and audit readiness
Increases fulfillment center capacity utilization and throughput, lowering cost per order during peak and seasonal demand.
Improves customer service levels and in-stock rates through proactive monitoring of inventory health and SKU lifecycle metrics.
Inventory Control & Data Integrity
Lead and execute inventory SOX reporting and compliance procedures.
Conduct large variance reconciliation processes and root-cause analysis.
Analyze slotting, capacity, and inventory control reports to identify inefficiencies.
Develop and maintain the Inventory Control (IC) dashboard for monitoring key metrics.
Track end-of-life and obsolete inventory; support disposition or reallocation.
Slotting Strategy & Warehouse Optimization
Develop and maintain slotting strategy, policies, and SOPs.
Plan and execute efficient item placement across the fulfillment center.
Adjust slotting based on SKU velocity, seasonality, promotions, and SKU mix.
Lead layout reconfigurations, SKU reallocations, zoning changes, and pick-path optimization.
Analyze slotting, capacity, and inventory control reports to identify inefficiencies.
Inventory Health Metrics & Continuous Improvement
Track, and report KPIs such as slot utilization, capacity usage, travel time, throughput, pick accuracy, and shrink/damage rates.
Identify root causes of slotting and inventory issues and recommend corrective actions (layout changes, SOP updates, training, system adjustments).
Support long-term capacity planning and warehouse optimization modeling.
Partner with Merchandising, Inventory Management, Replenishment, Waving, and Operations to align strategies.
Support seasonal resets, new product launches, promotions, and major FC realignments.
Maintain documentation and SOPs for slotting and inventory placement processes
What We're Looking For:
Highschool diploma
Equivalent work experience will be considered
Advanced problem solving skills
Team Player willing and able to help others
Detail orientated position with high-level of accuracy
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
WMS Experience preferred
Comfortable learning new systems/tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Adaptable working in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing priorities
Ability to identify process improvements and implementation
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Environmental Factors:
Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
Frequently lifting up to thirty pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds.
Frequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directions.
Ability to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
Moderate warehouse noise level.
Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds.
Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (i.e.: folding garments).
Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 95 degrees.
The ability to walk long distances
The ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
The ability to either stand for long periods of time
The ability to remain in a stationary position, often sanding for prolonged periods of times
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another
Adjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directions

Position Compensation Outline
Compensation Range: $23.00 to $27.60/hour.
