Title: Windows Engineer - HCI / Storage Spaces
Duration: 6 months
Location: Dublin, CA (Onsite)
Position Overview
We are seeking a senior level Windows Engineer to stabilize and production harden a Hyper Converged Infrastructure environment. This role focuses on Windows Server, Storage Spaces Direct, and infrastructure level troubleshooting in a multi site disaster recovery environment.
Responsibilities
Lead stabilization and optimization of a Hyper Converged Infrastructure environment built on Windows Server and Storage Spaces Direct
Diagnose and remediate replication failures between sites including virtual machine hangs and node instability
Troubleshoot packet loss and related network issues in collaboration with network teams, with Cisco environments preferred
Work directly with Microsoft support to implement recommended fixes, patches, and configuration updates for the environment
Validate and tune platform performance, resiliency, and failover behavior for production workloads
Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams supporting HPE hardware, Windows, storage, and networking dependencies
Create and maintain technical documentation including configuration standards and operational runbooks
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Strong experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or Windows Administrator in enterprise data center environments
Hands on expertise with Windows Server and Storage Spaces or Storage Spaces Direct in Hyper Converged Infrastructure scenarios
Experience supporting storage based replication in multi site or disaster recovery configurations
Experience working with HPE server and storage hardware
Proven ability to troubleshoot replication failures, virtual machine hangs, and cluster or node instability
Proven experience troubleshooting packet loss and network related issues in partnership with networking teams
Solid understanding of virtualization, clustering, and production infrastructure operations
Experience working with Microsoft support on complex and escalated infrastructure issues
Preferred Qualifications
Experience stabilizing or rescuing challenged Hyper Converged Infrastructure or disaster recovery implementations
Experience supporting multi site data center environments with strict uptime and recovery requirements
