Who we are looking for:
The Loan Doc Preparation Specialist is responsible for preparing loan documentation for consumer, commercial and agricultural loans. Performs various related duties to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documents. Requires basic knowledge of the Bank’s credit policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to lending.
What you’ll do:
Prepare appraisal request letters, pull flood certificates, order title work, and lien searches
Input data for loan documentation via the in-house system or through attorney websites
Review completed documents for accuracy
Review legal documentation
Review closed loan packages
Review loan documentation requests to verify a complete loan package
Prepare loan documents in-house for new loans and renewals, depending on loan type, complexity, and/or amount
Prepare engagement letters and forward loan packages to the attorney to prepare documents for new loans and renewal
Review insurance documentation to ensure adequacy
Handle commitment fees and prepare disbursement instructions
Make sure cases are properly processed through the applicable workflow system
Maintain production log of all loans processed
Assist and back up other doc prep staff as needed
Participates in community activities to promote the organization
Represent the bank in a professional manner during and outside of office hours
Demonstrate flexibility to perform every other duty as assigned
What you’ll need to be successful:
Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:
Demonstrate ethical character and judgement with attention to respect, commitment, integrity, values, and confidential boundaries
Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, possessing good, effective time management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize
Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Sensitivity to confidential information is required
Superb communication and interpersonal skills
Must be analytical and have creative thinking
Must be approachable and present a positive attitude
Impeccable attention to detail
Represent the bank in a professional manner during and outside of office hours
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of loan documentation a plus
