IDR is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive
Telecom/Network Engineer
to join one of our top healthcare clients in
Rochester, MN . This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about networking, cybersecurity, and cutting-edge enterprise infrastructure. This hybrid position offers remote flexibility after the first 3 months. Equipment will be provided. 6 month contract, potential to extend.

Position Overview / Responsibilities:
As a
Telecom/Network Engineer , you will:
Design, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across
routing, switching, and wireless
disciplines
Support and manage
network security tools
including
NAC, TrustSec, ISE, VPNs, DNS security, and secure web services
Provide advanced troubleshooting and assist with
security incident response
in collaboration with the Help Desk, ITOC, and SOC
Utilize and maintain
software-defined networking (SDN)
technologies such as
SASE, firewalls, WAN/LAN, and cloud networking tools
Leverage automation and scripting tools like
Splunk, Ansible, Python, and .Net
Participate in or lead
Agile or Waterfall
project-based implementations and upgrades
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in
routing, switching, wireless , and
network security
Hands-on experience with tools such as
Cisco TrustSec, ISE, VPN solutions, and secure DNS/web services
Familiarity with
SDN solutions , cloud networking, and hybrid network environments
Scripting experience with
Python, Ansible, .Net , and logging/monitoring via
Splunk
Understanding of
Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certifications
preferred (e.g.,
CCNA )
Experience in large-scale healthcare or enterprise IT environments
