General Function:
This position will provide support and maintenance of software applications throughout the District.

Education/Training/Experience:
Minimum:

Three to five years of directly related experience.
Preferred:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three or more years of directly related experience. Bilingual: English-Spanish.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
Good working knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including: MS Office Suite, Google Apps for Education, Google Management Console, GoGuardian, LANSchool, Adobe CS6/Creative Cloud, AutoCad, Educational applications, Apple Configurator, Desktop imaging/cloning, Renaissance Learning, Compass Learning, Corel Draw, Samanage or other IT asset management system, SchoolDude, PowerSchool, Raptor, etc. Familiarity with multiple operating systems, such as Apple, Windows, and Chrome. Knowledge of/experience in managing iPad carts and Chromebook carts. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to learn new ideas and concepts quickly. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Very strong customer service skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Essential Job Functions:
Performs all functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety and environmental regulations, facility and computer security policies and procedures. Functions are subject to change from time to time to meet the needs of the organization. Current essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Involved in the evaluation and deployment of new applications, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their application lifecycles.
Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
Collaborate with other technology team members as well as end users in the testing of new applications.
Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application incidents.
Document all pertinent end-user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading applications.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range and Benefits:
$40,033 - $50,000+ Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to full and part-time employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Resources Used in Performing the Job Include (but are not limited to):
Standard office equipment and software platforms such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google Suite. A wide range of personal computing equipment (Mac and IBM).

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
Regularly required to stand; move throughout a room and/or facility. Communicate verbally and electronically. Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and drive. May have occasion to perform heavy lifting up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and private automobile.

Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed in an indoor setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Some occasional travel is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high. There is occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as working near mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
