OurImagingdepartment hastheir own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams.We have8, 10 and 12hourshiftsas well as weekendoptionpay.Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RNs, PAs, and Radiologist.
We are a259-bedhospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive careunitand stroke certified. OurEmergencyroom sees about100,000 patientsa year.
Our Imaging department consist of the following:
X-ray
3 Routine Rooms & 2FluoroRooms (86,000 exams per year)
CT
4 CTSiemensrooms (72,000 exams per year)
MRI`
2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year)
Ultrasound
3SiemensRooms (21,000 exams per year)
Breast Health Center
4HologicDiag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year)
IR
1GERoom (2,500examsper year)
Outpatient DiagnosticCenter
CT,MRI, Mammography & X-ray(11,000 exams per year)
Surgery (OR)
5 GE OEC C-Arms
CSU
Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation
Responsibilities: Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications:
Education
Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
Work Experience
2 years of experience Required
Licenses and Certifications
ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties Upon Hire Required and
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred or
RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred
