The
Cross Regional Volume Planner for LATAM
is responsible for planning, aligning, and executing cross regional seed supply strategies to support commercial demand, inventory targets, and supply continuity across global markets.
This role serves as a central coordination point between regional supply teams, production, logistics, parent planning, and commercial stakeholders to ensure seed is positioned in the right place, at the right time, and at the right quality. The position combines multi-year supply planning, volume and inventory management, data analytics, and operational execution across complex international supply lanes.
Key Responsibilities
Cross Regional Supply & Volume Planning
Develop and maintain multi-year, product-level global sourcing, production, and inventory plans with an emphasis on cross regional supply lanes.
Plan and manage cross regional seed volumes to support commercial demand, inventory strategy, and risk mitigation.
Identify supply gaps, constraints, and opportunities to rebalance volumes across regions.
Establish growing plans aligned with new crop requirements, risk profiles, and production capacity.
Operational Execution & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate international seed movements, including timelines, documentation, and lane feasibility.
Partner with logistics, production, quality, and commercial teams to execute cross regional transfers.
Support import/export readiness and alignment on shipment timing and execution.
Ensure new crop estimates and production updates are accurately reflected in planning systems.
Parent Seed & Supply Network Integration
Partner closely with the Parent Planning Team to understand parent seed timing and availability impacts.
Ensure parent supply signals are visible and integrated into supply plan development and execution.
Support alignment between parent availability, commercial demand, and regional execution.
Supply Risk Management
Proactively identify, flag, and escalate cross regional supply risks.
Support business continuity planning through evaluation of alternate lanes, sources, or timing adjustments.
Enable informed tradeoff decisions to protect service, inventory, and customer commitments.
Data, Reporting & Planning Enablement
Develop, maintain, and enhance planning reports, dashboards, and volume trackers used across the cross regional supply chain.
Ensure planning data (demand, carry-in, new crop, inventory) is accurate and current within systems (e.g., IBP, SPIN, ZVSRC).
Pull, transform, and visualize data from multiple sources to highlight execution gaps and drive corrective actions.
Support design, testing, deployment, training, and adoption of new enterprise planning tools, including ERP-enabled solutions.
Stakeholder Alignment & Capability Building
Facilitate recurring cross regional alignment forums and planning discussions.
Serve as a key communication link between regional teams, global supply chain, and leadership.
Mentor and coach regional supply chain teams on planning best practices, tools, and processes.
Communicate effectively across cultures and geographies to drive alignment and execution.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Agricultural Business, Business Analytics, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
2-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, seed production, operations, or related fields.
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel; experience with relational databases preferred.
Demonstrated ability to organize data and communicate actionable insights.
Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence without authority.
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and mentor others on proper usage.
Preferred
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
Experience with SAP R/3 and/or ERP planning systems.
Experience in cross regional or international supply chains.
Bilingual (English / Spanish).
Interviews for this position will be held on May 6th between 10am-2:30pm, May 7th between 8-10am or 11-12:30pm, or Friday between 11am-3pm.
