Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision

Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for IAM services including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and identity lifecycle management.
Align IAM initiatives with institutional goals, compliance requirements, and user experience standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with academic departments, HR, student services, and IT teams to understand identity and access needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for IAM-related projects and service enhancements.

Service Delivery & Optimization

Oversee the implementation and operation of IAM platforms and tools (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint).
Monitor service performance, user adoption, and incident trends to drive continuous improvement.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure IAM services comply with university policies, FERPA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
Support audits, risk assessments, and policy development related to identity and access.

Project & Vendor Management

Lead IAM-related projects including upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to enhance IAM capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
5+ years of experience in IAM, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT product management.
Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, LDAP), and access control models.
Experience with IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity, or similar.
PMP Certification.
Certifications include CISSP, CISM, CIAM, Microsoft SC-300, Okta Certified Professional, or similar credentials demonstrating expertise in IAM and cybersecurity governance.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in higher education or public sector IT environments.
Familiarity with governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Knowledge of directory services, federation, and identity provisioning tools.
Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design in IAM systems.
