Job Summary:
The Conveyor Belt Fabricator/Technician is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and preparation of industrial conveyor belts. This hands-on role involves using power tools, hand tools, and vulcanizing equipment to cut, shape, and splice materials according to customer specifications. The technician will also prepare bonding materials, operate a forklift, and inspect finished products for quality assurance while adhering to strict safety standards
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:
Use hand tools, power tools and equipment to cut, shape, splice, and fit various conveyor belting materials / fabricate conveyor belts
Rigging, cutting belt, operating winch and vulcanizer
Prepare and mix various glues and bonding cement
Operate a forklift
Inspect manufactured products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards through instruments and visual verification
Adhere and follow all safety requirements
Work overtime and various shifts as required
Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a high school education
Required to read and write English, follow verbal and written instructions and use basic math.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks:
Be familiar with and able to interpret and complete work orders
Must be able to accurately measure and work well with hands and use basic power tools
Must be highly responsive to and respectful of customer needs
Must be capable of completing inventory calculation sheets using basic math
Conversions from mm to inches and inch fractions
Must be highly attentive to detail and quality
Must be mechanically inclined
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use his/her hands and fingers with strength, coordination and precision and see details at close range. The employee is regularly required to bend, kneeling/stooping on multiple surfaces, stand and balance, reach, push, pull, climb, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and infrequently lift up to 100 pounds. Drive company vehicle/equipment/forklift.
