This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Hours may vary from Part-time to Full-time hours based on business needs.

About the Position

As a Temporary Ballot Tabulation Center (BTC) Adjudicator, you facilitate the election process by reviewing voters' intent, processing ballots, duplicating damaged ballots, and performing data entry.

We Require

This position requires a high school diploma or GED.

Other Requirements

Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
Must be a registered Republican or Democrat voter
Must pass an applicable background screening
Must be able to work overtime as necessary
Must have legible penmanship
We Also Value

One or more years of general office experience
One or more years of moderate computer use experience
One or more years of election experience
One or more years of customer service experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Contributions

Determines a voter's intent on a bipartisan Duplication or Adjudication Board
Reviews ballots using election's proprietary software to accurately assess a voter's intent
Collaborates in teams of two, each representing different political affiliations (e.g., Republican and Democrat)
Ensures thorough and legible documentation throughout the tabulation procedure
Assists other divisions within Elections or the Recorder's Office with daily operations
Working Conditions

Full-time/Temporary/Holidays/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle
Upper extremity repetitive motion is required, as well as the ability to review small fonts on a hard copy or computer screen for an extended period of time
Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time
All operations will be conducted under Livestream cameras and in the presence of political observers
Must not engage in any political discussions
