The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing support in coordinating the day-to-day operations of domestic and international shipments. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with documentation, tracking inbound freight, maintaining shipment records, and communicating with internal teams and external service providers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Schedules and communicates shipments through appropriate system; tracks progress of shipments enroute via ocean and air, and provides email and calendar updates to keep relevant team members appraised of delivery changes
Coordinate inbound shipments with warehouse receiving teams.
Ensure tracking data and delivery milestones are updated in Order Management system and communicated accordingly.
Communicates delivery expectations to appropriate internal parties, as well as delays.
Recommends improved logistics policies and procedures for costs/time savings and to maintain fluid operations
Maintains awareness of current events and weather related information pertinent to shipping/delivery and communicates risk as appropriate
Maintains databases and records of logistics information in compliance with company policies
Coordinate resolutions with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. As well as proactively address delays, damages, holds, or incorrect shipments.
Approves or contests incoming freight invoices in the ERP system according to the reconciling and verification of the shipment order
Engages in supplier relationship management with freight forwarders and other logistics providers to ensure best price and contractual performance and service levels
Work with customs brokers to facilitate timely clearance and entry. Ensuring all documents are presented / available and are accurate and complete
Maintains Entry Audit Log of past import shipments
Also ensures that all necessary documentation is accurately filed and readily available if past imports must be referenced (5 years history)
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
1+ years warehouse or logistics experience preferred
Demonstrates attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills; and is highly organized especially with respect to scheduling and tracking shipments
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
