Plumber (Historic Infrastructure + Water Systems Specialist)
Location: Lakewood, CO
Salary: $72,500 per year
RMCAD is seeking a Plumber (Historic Infrastructure + Water Systems Specialist) to maintain and optimize mechanical and plumbing systems across campus, with specialized responsibility for potable water systems, wells, and treatment processes.
Essential Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical systems
* Perform retrofits on aging infrastructure
* Operate and monitor potable well systems, storage, and treatment processes
* Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local water quality regulations
* Support HVAC/mechanical equipment (pumps, piping systems)
* Maintain inspection and compliance documentation
Minimum Qualifications
* Licensed Journeyman Plumber (Colorado preferred)
* 5+ years of plumbing/mechanical experience
* Experience with water systems and infrastructure troubleshooting
* Valid driver's license
Prefered Qualifications
* Experience with well systems, water treatment, or tower systems
* Knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems integration
* Backflow certification
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
* The noise level in the work environment can be loud enough that personal protective equipment should be worn. Some exposure to temperature extremes. Can be wet and/or humid. Possible mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards,
* Requires significant lifting, carrying, pushing pulling; frequent stationary position, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; physical mobility and stamina for activities that may be strenuous; and the ability to perform under some temperature extremes.
* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70-100 pounds.
