About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Clinical Data Science to lead strategic initiatives in the application of AI/ML for disease modeling and precision medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping global clinical development strategies, ensuring the rigorous application of statistical methodologies, and acting as the primary representative for data science strategies in regulatory and industry discussions. This role involves overseeing large-scale data science projects, mentoring and managing a diverse team of data scientists, and driving operational excellence in data science programming. The Executive Director will also be expected to define and execute clinical data science strategies, lead the adoption of AI/ML methodologies, and prepare and present data science strategies to health authorities.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related computational sciences, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in clinical development, including data science and biostatistics. The ideal candidate will be a recognized thought leader in AI/ML modeling or precision medicine, with a proven track record of influencing regulatory authorities and presenting at external forums. Strong leadership experience in managing diverse teams in a data science setting is essential, and prior research experience in neurology, particularly with Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers, is preferred. The role requires expertise in statistical methods and their application in clinical trials, as well as a demonstrated ability to drive innovation in clinical data science methodologies.
