About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal and Compliance for its U.S. business. This critical leadership role involves serving as the principal legal advisor to the U.S. President and leadership team, providing guidance on a wide range of commercial, operational, and corporate matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, offering pragmatic risk assessments, and managing the U.S. legal and compliance framework in alignment with global standards. Executive partnership is a key aspect of the role, requiring the ability to translate legal and compliance considerations into clear, actionable guidance for senior executives and to act as a steward of ethical conduct and sound governance.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school, active bar membership, and a minimum of 8-10 years' of post-qualification legal experience. Strong experience in commercial and corporate agreements, as well as the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, is essential. While not mandatory, experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries, and exposure to FDA or healthcare compliance, is preferred. The role demands a professional with a solution-oriented mindset, capable of operating independently in a lean, fast-growing organization, and with a focus on broad legal leadership and commercial judgment rather than narrow subject-matter specialization.
