About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker, with a proven track record in financial and operational leadership. This executive will play a pivotal role in the institution's next chapter, leading efforts to translate strategic priorities into integrated budget and financial models, and ensuring the alignment of financial planning with institutional goals. The role involves close partnership with the President and the Executive Vice President and Provost, and a deep commitment to the mission of the institution, which is guided by Catholic and Jesuit values.
Key responsibilities for the SVPFA/CFO include advising on fiscal stewardship, administrative innovation, and long-range planning, as well as providing leadership for a broad portfolio that encompasses finance, budgeting, accounting, treasury, investments, procurement, human resources, information technology, and facilities. The ideal candidate will be a trusted partner, capable of navigating complexity, and will be expected to work in close collaboration with the President, the EVPP, and other senior leaders to drive innovation, academic quality, and administrative efficiency. The role also involves stewarding the financial dimensions of the institution's important partnerships, particularly in the health sciences. The candidate should be prepared to lead through change with integrity, humility, and a collaborative spirit, and to ensure that the institution's financial strategy supports its mission across teaching, research, and healthcare.
