JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Work
Pharmacy Operations processes more than 12,000 inpatient dispenses daily, each requiring accurate documentation, charge compliance, and correct drug configuration within Epic. In addition, Home Care, Retail, and Specialty pharmacy services continue to expand, increasing the complexity of billing, reimbursement, and regulatory oversight.
Key operational responsibilities include:
* Daily review of inpatient pharmacy charges to ensure documentation and charge compliance.
* Ownership of Epic pharmacy work queues and medication error baskets.
* Investigation and resolution of undocumented dispenses and billing discrepancies.
* Assist with 340B claim submission requirements.
Summary
The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the complex and high-volume pharmacy business environment by ensuring accurate charge capture, compliance with Medicaid, payer, and 340B requirements, and maintaining system integrity in Epic. This position guides the Revenue Cycle, validates coding, resolves denials, and oversees key operational tasks such as daily charge reviews, work queue management, error investigation, and 340B claim submissions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years of Pharmacy/Billing experience required
PREFERRED
Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT
