Position Summary
Academic Radiation Oncologist – Neuro-Oncology. The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Department of Radiation Oncology at the NCI‑designated Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in partnership with Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Radiation Oncologist with a primary clinical focus in Neuro‑Oncology with a negotiable secondary focus. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic academic department.
Position Highlights
On‑site Mevion upright proton therapy opening in Spring 2027
Active participation in disease‑specific multidisciplinary tumor boards
Teaching opportunities within fully accredited medical and medical physics residency programs

The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center—Nebraska’s only NCI‑designated cancer center with locations in the Omaha metropolitan area and Kearney, Nebraska—serves as the hub for our clinical, research, and education activities. Our expanding department includes twelve physicians, eleven physicists, and research faculty and staff. We will have the only proton therapy capability in the state of Nebraska and the region, including Flash research capability.
We welcome applications from both experienced clinicians and recent graduates. The successful candidate must hold an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) and be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Academic rank is consistent with qualifications.
