AWS is the cloud that is needed - everything in Azure is a SaaS solution. All the compute is going into AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures across AWS and Azure cloud platforms
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated cloud resource provisioning
Configure and manage cloud networking services including VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, IPSec, Palo Firewall, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute
Implement network security controls and ensure compliance with security best practices
Optimize network performance and costs across hybrid cloud environments
Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis
Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps teams to integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or 7+ years of related field experience
5+ years of experience in network engineering with strong understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, and network security
3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly HashiCorp Terraform
Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, VNets, subnetting, and interconnectivity
Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization
Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or CCNP
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with Aviatrix for multi-cloud networking and security is a plus
Knowledge of container networking and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation
Experience with SD-WAN implementations
Background in implementing Zero Trust network architectures
Experience with cloud-native security tools and services
Required Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Experience working in Agile environments
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong focus on security and compliance
