Front Office Supervisor
Lark Hospitality, Cambridge, MA, United States
907 Main is seeking a hands-on
Front Office Supervisor
to help lead daily rooms operations at our boutique hotel in Cambridge, MA. This position oversees the front desk team while also providing operational support and accountability for the Housekeeping Supervisor. The role is ideal for someone who understands that a successful guest experience starts with strong communication, clean and ready rooms, accurate front desk execution, and a team that is prepared before the guest ever arrives.
The Front Office Supervisor will be responsible for supporting daily arrivals and departures, managing guest requests, assisting with service recovery, reviewing room status, coordinating closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance, and ensuring that the front desk operates with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. This leader will help train and coach front desk agents, maintain clear shift communication, and ensure that guest information, billing, room assignments, and follow-up items are handled accurately.
In addition to front office leadership, this role works directly with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure rooms are prioritized, cleaned, inspected, and released in a timely manner. The Front Office Supervisor will help review occupancy, arrivals, departures, early check-ins, late check-outs, VIPs, special requests, and out-of-order rooms to make sure the team is aligned each day. This position may also assist with room inspections, guestroom follow-up, and communication around maintenance or cleanliness issues.
This is not a desk-only position. The right candidate must be visible, engaged, organized, and willing to step in where needed. They should be comfortable leading during busy periods, solving guest concerns with confidence, holding team members accountable, and helping create a polished boutique hotel experience.
The ideal candidate has previous hotel front desk experience, strong communication skills, a service-minded approach, and the ability to lead both guest-facing and back-of-house teams. Prior supervisory experience and experience working with housekeeping operations are strongly preferred. A flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
