Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Quality Assurance Test Analyst
to join our team for a long-term onsite assignment in Austin, Texas. This role involves advanced testing, analysis, and validation of enterprise-level applications and production systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Analysis
Develop detailed test plans for complex applications.
Create, execute, and document test cases including unit, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Review business and functional requirements; clarify discrepancies with BA and technical teams.
Perform automated functionality testing using HP QTP/UFT.
Support functional teams through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate results.
Document bugs, results, and outcomes using automated test and defect-tracking tools.
Conduct regression testing for system upgrades and releases.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with Business Analysts, Production Control, Operations, and Development teams.
Assist in all phases of testing, including coordination and verification of sign-offs.
Mentor team members on automated testing tools and best practices.
Participate in regular meetings and project calls.
Documentation & Reporting
Document expected and actual results, metrics, and overall test status.
Maintain clear, accurate records of test scripts, plans, and outcomes.
Other Responsibilities
Provide support for after-hours testing or on-call needs.
Comply with all agency policies, safety guidelines, and conduct standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
(Relevant experience may substitute for required education.)
Experience
7+ years
of QA experience across the full SDLC and enterprise systems.
5+ years
testing
PeopleSoft Pension, Benefits Administration, and Financials .
4+ years
testing
SharePoint/K2
environments.
4+ years
testing
.NET applications .
4+ years
using
HP QTP/UFT
for automated functionality testing.
3+ years
writing SQL queries for data validation.
Strong proficiency with
VBScript .
Working knowledge of
Information Security
and
AI concepts .
Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Ability to test within large, highly integrated enterprise ecosystems.
Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation abilities.
Skilled in automated testing tools and techniques.
Effective communicator capable of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
