Microbiologist (Food Manufacturing) - 1st Shift

Summary:In this Microbiologist role you will play an important part in food product safety. You will handle routine lab testing, prepare samples, and help monitor the environment to make sure products meet quality standards. The job is suited for someone who has some background in QA and looking to grow their skills or someone who has experience performing micro testing.
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, hours may vary based on production
Pay: Mid to upper $20's, based on experience
Responsibilities:Perform microbiology testing on ingredients, finished products, and environmental samples
Prepare samples and follow established testing procedures
Record results and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
Maintain a clean and organized lab area
Calibrate and clean basic lab equipment
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Assist with additional lab tasks as needed
Qualifications:Associate degree in a science field preferred but not required
Experience working in a lab or performing microbiology testing ideal but not required
Ability to follow step-by-step procedures and document results clearly
Must be comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
