Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN), cloud security (Azure/AWS), SIEM & vulnerability management, IAM/authentication (OAuth, SAML, MFA), and strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
Responsibilities
Lead network security architecture design, roadmap planning, and implementation
Manage and enhance security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and cloud security platforms
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for deployment and configuration of new security tools
Monitor networks, systems, and logs using SIEM and vulnerability management tools
Support compliance initiatives, risk assessments, and enforce security policies
Manage enterprise network services such as domain controllers and DHCP
Participate in system upgrades, integrations, and security-focused projects
Document configurations, processes, and procedures
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in network security
Strong hands-on experience with:
Firewalls (enterprise level)
IDS/IPS systems
VPN technologies
Endpoint security solutions
Identity & Access Management (IAM) and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, MFA)
Deep understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, LAN/WAN/WLAN
Experience managing 20+ enterprise firewalls
Strong experience with SIEM tools and vulnerability management platforms
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
Familiarity with SaaS environments (Salesforce, Workday, Office 365)
Expertise in cloud security and Zero Trust architecture
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to work across technical and business teams
Nice to Have
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, etc.)
Experience in large enterprise environments
