Senior Network Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Network Engineer to manage and oversee our critical network infrastructure in our offices in Palo Alto, CA This role, which can also be performed remotely, requires a strong understanding of network security, routing, switching, and telecommunications, specifically within a manufacturing environment The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and telecom access.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network, implementing and maintaining security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST 800-171).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand their network requirements and provide solutions.
• Manage relationships with telecom providers and vendors.
• Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other network team members, if applicable.
• Travel to the company's Bay Area facilities approximately once per month for on-site work, meetings, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and security trends, particularly those relevant to satellite manufacturing and operations.

Requirement:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum Requirements:
• Must be a U.S citizen
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on network security and infrastructure management.
• Experience managing and configuring firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks), routers, and switches (e.g., Juniper).
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other networking protocols.
• Experience with various telecommunications technologies and access methods
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• If remote, must be able to travel to the Bay Area, California, on a monthly basis

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time and priorities effectively
• Experience in the aerospace or satellite manufacturing industry is highly desirable
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS) is a plus
• Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks such as CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 is a plus.

Compensation
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience, as well as the benefits package you select.
