OTA Platform Technical Lead (C# / .NET | Automotive Systems)
Expleo, Dallas, TX, United States
Overview
Why This Role Matters
Expleo USA is seeking a technical leader to drive Over-the-Air (OTA) platform development for connected vehicle ecosystems.
You will lead the design and delivery of systems responsible for securely deploying software and firmware updates across vehicle fleets - ensuring reliability, traceability, and performance at scale.
This is a platform ownership role, not just application development. You'll operate at the intersection of cloud engineering, vehicle systems, and large-scale distributed architecture.
What You'll Do
Own the OTA platform architecture supporting connected vehicle environments
Design and deliver secure, scalable update distribution systems for vehicle software and firmware
Build and evolve event-driven, microservices-based platforms that manage update orchestration, validation, and deployment
Ensure end-to-end reliability including versioning, rollback strategies, auditability, and failure recovery
Integrate across vehicle systems, telematics platforms, and enterprise backend services
Lead a global engineering team while remaining hands-on in development
Drive engineering excellence across performance, security, observability, and system resilience
Translate complex requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions
Lead resolution of critical production issues impacting live environments
What You Bring
8+ years building scalable, distributed systems or platforms
Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and backend architecture
Experience with microservices and event-driven systems
Solid understanding of API design, system integration, and data modeling
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with CQRS, event sourcing, and message-driven architectures
Proven ability to lead technically while staying hands-on
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred (Automotive / OTA Depth)
Experience with OTA platforms, telematics systems, or connected devices (IoT)
Exposure to automotive software ecosystems (ECUs, firmware updates, diagnostics)
Understanding of secure update delivery, encryption/signing, and validation workflows
Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical deployments
What Sets This Role Apart
Direct impact on how software is deployed to vehicles and edge environments at scale
Work on systems where reliability, security, and precision are critical
Opportunity to shape next-generation OTA capabilities in a global environment
High-visibility role bridging cloud engineering and real-world systems
