Position : VMS Administrator (Physical Security Systems)
Type : Contract
Location : Charlotte NC, 28262
Hybrid: 3D in-person (T-W-T), 2D remote (M&F)
Pay:
$40-45/hr
Responsibilites :
Manage and support video management systems (VMS) and physical security platforms
Perform camera programming, configuration, and system troubleshooting
Monitor system operability and ensure uptime across sites
Coordinate with vendors and field teams for issue resolution and system validation
Support deployment of new technologies (e.g., radar systems, detection platforms)
Assist with project-based work, following direction from project managers
Document configurations, updates, and system performance
Provide support during site implementations and post-install validation
Must haves:
Experience with video management systems (VMS) such as Avigilon, Genetec, ONSSI, or similar
Background in physical security systems (IP cameras, access control, surveillance)
Experience with system configuration, programming, and troubleshooting
Ability to work in both operational support and project-based environments
Strong communication and ability to work with vendors and internal teams
Pluses :
Experience with Avigilon
Background working for a security integrator
Experience supporting enterprise-level physical security environments
Exposure to new security technologies (e.g., radar, gunshot detection systems)
Experience in hybrid IT/physical security roles.
