More about this role
The candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Under broad supervision, reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. May perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. Compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.
Responsibilities include:
Maintenance of product standard costs including variance and scrap reporting
Maintenance of the cycle counts for inventory program
Back up for creating/ reviewing of Shipping Invoices to pack slips to ensure accuracy & Report Sales on Daily Report
Maintenance of vendor and travelers’ insurance information records
Processing of Benefit Billing and Reconciliations
Payroll Process, Review of payroll prior to submission to ADP
Recording of Cash Receipts into ERP System
Invoicing for Consignment Sales
Processing of Credit Memos
Daily, weekly & Monthly reporting of direct & indirect labor
Accuracy of account reconciliations related to job duties
Daily assistance for internal & external customers
Month End Reports, Journal Entries & Reconciliations & Variance Analysis
Responsible for accurate Monthly & Quarterly Reporting for internal & external customers
Other accounting duties as needed including back up for other accounting staff
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Good Verbal and written communication skills
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
A solid understanding of Dual Entry Accounting
Experience with ADP
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting
Must be able to work out of one of our three manufacturing locations: Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Boyne City, MI; Angola, IN
