JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst - EDM/BI is responsible for leading business analysis activities for enterprise data management and business intelligence initiatives. The role focuses on gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, validating data models and ETL processes, and ensuring BI solutions meet business and governance standards. The analyst works closely with stakeholders, BI developers, and data engineers to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions while supporting testing, data validation, and compliance with enterprise data management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Requirements Management
Lead business analysis activities for BI and enterprise data management projects.
Facilitate workshops and requirement gathering sessions with senior stakeholders and business teams.
Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications and BI solution requirements.
Analysis & Quality Assurance
Perform detailed
data validation
and support
ETL and data model design reviews .
Develop
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans , coordinate testing cycles, and validate BI deliverables.
Ensure BI solutions comply with
enterprise data governance and reporting standards .
Collaboration & Mentorship
Collaborate with
BI developers, data engineers, and project managers
to ensure project delivery alignment.
Mentor junior and mid-level business system analysts by providing feedback and process guidance.
Communicate project updates, technical insights, and business impacts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
4-6 years of experience as a
Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in BI or data management environments .
Strong hands-on experience with
Enterprise Data Management (EDM)
processes and data governance.
Experience supporting
ETL processes and data model design reviews .
Knowledge of
SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and Business Intelligence tools .
Experience with
data concepts, data modeling, and reporting frameworks .
Experience creating
UAT plans, coordinating testing, and validating BI deliverables .
Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder communication and requirement gathering skills.
Ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
Strong collaboration and teamwork across technical and business teams.
