Java AI Developer (Backend / AI Systems)

Overview
Seeking a backend-focused Java engineer with event-driven architecture experience and exposure to AI/conversational platforms. You'll build scalable, real-time systems at the intersection of backend engineering and AI.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend services
Develop event-driven systems using Kafka
Create real-time data pipelines (Flink or similar)
Integrate AI and conversational platforms
Design REST APIs and microservices
Partner with engineering and product teams
Must Have
6-8 years Java (Spring/Spring Boot)
2-3 years Python (backend/data)
Strong Kafka and event-driven architecture experience
Reactive programming (WebFlux or similar)
Flink or similar stream processing tools
Redis, MongoDB, Oracle experience
Strong REST API development
AI / Conversational Exposure
Familiarity with Dialogflow CX or similar
Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks
Nice to Have
Banking/fintech experience
Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud-native exposure
ML fundamentals and model monitoring
