Description

This paid internship provides an opportunity to train closely with experienced IT professionals and gain hands-on experience in IT systems and Cloud infrastructure operations. This Intern role will assist with building servers, installing software, configuring and maintaining system devices, and providing technical support to peers and hospital staff. The role also includes supporting cybersecurity activities, validating and documenting processes and procedures, and participating in training and professional development opportunities. The internship provides valuable exposure by shadowing IT professionals and learning best practices in a real-world healthcare environment. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

Enrolled in a 2-year college with a Computer Science related major Preferred Education:

Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Experience:
