Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for Android e-commerce applications across various devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing (manual aspects like responsiveness), with a keen eye on e-commerce specific flows.
Thoroughly identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), focusing on impacts to user purchase flows, catalog display, payment processing, etc.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to understand requirements and provide timely feedback, ensuring a deep understanding of e-commerce business logic.
Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability and clarity, especially concerning new features, promotions, and payment integrations.
Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure issues are resolved without introducing new ones, paying close attention to critical e-commerce paths.
Contribute to improving existing QA processes and methodologies for manual testing within an e-commerce context.
Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of dedicated experience in manual Quality Assurance/Testing for Android mobile applications, with a significant portion of that experience in the e-commerce domain.
Deep understanding of Android ecosystem, diverse Android devices, and OS versions.
Demonstrated expertise in testing core e-commerce functionalities, including but not limited to: product catalog Browse, search & filtering, cart management, checkout flows, payment gateways, order history, promotions, and user accounts.
Proven ability to create detailed, clear, and comprehensive test plans and test cases tailored for e-commerce scenarios.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
