AEM Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Total Experience: 1420 years overall
• AEM Experience: 710 years with AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
AEM Solution Architecture, AEM 6.x / AEMaaCS, CDN (Akamai/CloudFront/Cloudflare/Fastly),
Frontend (React/Angular/Vue), Headless AEM, BFF (Node.js/Java/Spring Boot), GraphQL/REST,
Dispatcher, DevOps, CI/CD, Security
• Expert level AEM knowledge, including:
o Sling, OSGi, JCR, HTL
o Dispatcher, workflows, MSM
• Strong experience across:
o CDN and edge architectures
o Modern Frontend frameworks and SPA patterns
o BFF and API driven architectures
o DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments
o Security, authentication, and authorization
Roles & Responsibilities
AEM Architecture & Content Platforms
• Design and own enterprise scale AEM architectures, including:
o AEM Sites, Assets, Headless & Hybrid implementations
o Component and template frameworks
o Content models, taxonomies, and content structures
o Workflows, MSM, localization, and multi site strategies
• Architect Dispatcher, caching strategies, performance tuning, and scalability patterns
• Drive best practices for AEMaaCS, cloud readiness, and platform modernization
CDN & Edge Architecture
• Architect and configure CDN platforms such as:
o Akamai, CloudFront, Cloudflare, Fastly
• Define and optimize:
o Edge caching and routing strategies
o Image optimization and media delivery
o Web Application Firewall (WAF) and bot mitigation
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and resilience
Frontend Architecture
• Lead Frontend architecture using:
o React, Angular, Vue
• Design and govern:
o SPA and Micro Frontend patterns
o Integration of Frontend apps with AEM (SPA Editor, Headless APIs)
• Establish performance, accessibility, and UX best practices
Backend for Frontend (BFF) & APIs
• Design and implement BFF layers using:
o Node.js, Java, Spring Boot
• Integrate BFF services with:
o AEM Headless APIs (GraphQL, REST, Sling Models)
• Define API contracts, orchestration patterns, and scalability strategies
Enterprise Integrations
• Architect integrations with:
o CRM and commerce platforms
o Identity and access management systems (OAuth2, SAML, JWT)
o Analytics, personalization, and marketing cloud platforms
• Ensure secure, performant, and maintainable integration patterns
Preferred Qualifications
• Adobe Certifications (AEM Architect / Developer or equivalent)
• Hands on experience with AEMaaCS migrations
• Multi brand, multi region, and multi language platform architectures
• Experience with Dynamic Media, image/video optimization
• Personalization and analytics integrations (Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics)
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
• Provide architectural leadership across delivery teams
• Lead design reviews, technical decisioning, and governance forums
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and guide root cause analysis
• Mentor developers and architects; uplift engineering maturity
• Work in Agile delivery models, partnering with Product, QA, and DevOps teams
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for US customers and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for US customers

B. Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Information Technology
Salary Range: $150000 - $170000 a year
