We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior API Automation Test Engineer

with strong expertise in

API testing automation using Rest Assured , strong

Java coding , and hands-on experience with modern CI/CD and test automation tools. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building, enhancing, and executing scalable API automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute

API automation test scripts

using

Rest Assured
Perform end-to-end

API testing and automation

for enterprise applications
Develop and enhance

automation frameworks

for scalable test coverage
Write robust automation code using

Java or Python
Create and maintain automated regression and integration test suites
Integrate test automation into

CI/CD pipelines
Work with development and QA teams to ensure quality across SDLC
Debug issues, analyze failures, and support defect resolution
Contribute to framework improvements, code reviews, and best practices
Required Skills (Must Have)

8 years of experience in software testing and automation
Strong hands-on experience in

API Test Automation using Rest Assured
Strong

Java coding

skills (Python also acceptable)
Experience working independently in API automation roles
Hands-on experience with:

Maven
Git
Jenkins
JFrog

Experience with

Spock Rest Assured

for API automation
Strong understanding of API validation, automation frameworks, and test strategies
Nice to Have Skills

Automation framework development and enhancement
Python scripting
CI/CD automation best practices
Experience with scalable test framework architecture
Exposure to modern DevOps and automation ecosystems
Qualifications

8-10 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and automation
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

Integration of automation into DevOps pipelines
