Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
to join our team as a Network Engineer in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures while ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Security).
Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning for Cisco-based environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network solutions supporting business objectives.
Ensure high availability and redundancy of network services through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Perform network upgrades, migrations, and optimizations in line with Cisco best practices.
Document network architecture, configurations, and operational processes.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers when required.
Required Qualifications:
Active CCIE Certification
(Routing & Switching, Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, or Data Center preferred).
8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with Cisco technologies.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
Proven experience with large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with SDN (Software Defined Networking) solutions like Cisco ACI, SD-WAN.
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible).
