Optum is seeking an experienced
Epic ASAP Analyst
to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will support, maintain, and optimize Epic ASAP functionality to enable efficient, compliant, and high‑quality clinical workflows. You will partner closely with clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to deliver stable and effective Epic solutions.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the United States while taking on meaningful technical and clinical challenges. For employees located in the Minneapolis, MN or Washington, D.C. areas, in‑office work is required a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Build, configure, and support Epic ClinDoc to align with clinical and operational workflows
Partner with clinicians and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize system functionality
Support integration and interoperability with other Epic applications
Troubleshoot system issues, perform ongoing maintenance, and provide end‑user support
Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, testing, and validation activities
Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and training materials
Ensure Epic build and workflows meet regulatory and compliance standards
Collaborate with project managers to deliver Epic initiatives on time and within scope

Required Qualifications
Epic ASAP Certification
2+ years of customer‑facing experience in a healthcare environment
2+ years of experience supporting Epic EHR systems
2+ years of hands‑on experience working with Epic ASAP
Solid understanding of clinical workflows
Ability and willingness to work Pacific Time hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient ClinDoc, Orders)
Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
Proven solid analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
