Position Summary
The Bat Boy / Bat Attendant plays a key role in supporting on-field operations during games. This position is responsible for managing equipment, assisting players and umpires, and ensuring the game runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Retrieve bats, helmets, and equipment during and after plays
Keep dugouts organized and free of clutter
Assist with baseballs (foul balls, warm-up balls, and game balls as needed)
Support umpires and team personnel with on-field needs
Help prepare dugouts before games and clean up after games
Remain attentive and alert throughout the game at all times
Represent the organization in a professional manner on the field
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of baseball and game flow preferred
High level of awareness, focus, and hustle
Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately
Comfortable being on the field during live gameplay
Reliable and punctual for all assigned games
Must be at least 16 years old
Work Schedule
Evenings, weekends, and holidays based on game schedule
Shifts typically run from pre-game through the conclusion of the game
