The City of Worthington is seeking qualified candidates to join the

Support Services Technician team in the Division of Police.

Under the direction of the Operations Support Manager, this position provides administrative and clerical support for the Division of Police. Responsibilities include maintaining and processing police records and reports as well as answering incoming calls, greeting visitors to the lobby, responding to inquiries from police officers, and specialized data entry and processing. Knowledge of records management and retention and experience with video downloading and redaction is preferred. This position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

A high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver's license required; three years of experience in emergency communications or law enforcement records management preferred. Certification from the State of Ohio to operate the criminal computer system and the LEADS computer system, and Ohio Notary Public Certificate required within six months from date of hire.

This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt, classified position with a salary range of $59,508 - $74,937. New hires typically are appointed at step A of the pay range. Training and experience may qualify a candidate for appointment at a higher step within this range.
